This kind of beer was first brewed between the end of 1700 and the beginning o 1800, in Bamberg, a city in the Franconian Region. Its distinctive taste is due to the use of malt dried over a beech fire.

The smoky taste is well balanced, the combination of malted wheat and malted barley aromas comes together in perfect harmony.
Hints of pear, orange zest and banana overlaid with smoky notes and by notes of dried fruit. The finish is slightly bitter.
